This poor writing consultant has his work cut out for him. Perhaps if he had not let the session get out of control in the beginning, the student's anger wouldn't have climaxed.
I believe Tyler is right, perhaps the writing center consultant should have taken the lead early on and not let her ramble on. Furthermore, he could injected some sense of comedy into the mix to lighten the situation and made it easier to dive into the more serious aspects of the session.
Oooh ouch. She really flew off the handle - that girl is like a steam train. The tutor could have used some comedy to to keep control on the session. A little more empathy might have helped too - but I like that he is careful not to trash the professor.
